In Germanic mythology, Nehalennia means "goddess of the sea", the choice of the project's name was a symbolic homage. The project was developed from the context of a possible futuristic city where everything was dominated by water. In today's world, many cities live underwater and with the current climate change happening on the planet, floods are becoming more and more common. The choice of materials was made with the aim of the floating building presenting lightness and integration with nature and the sea.
